How do I use this app?

Simply enter the 🔗 link of the legal document (Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, EULA, etc...) that you want simplified in the 🎁 input box to get started. Simplifications will generally take ⏰ 10-15 seconds.

What are followup questions?

🤔 Followup questions are additional questions that you can ask about the legal document. Whether you're curious about special regulations in the 🇪🇺 or how minors are impacted, they allow you to get a much deeper understanding about topics you care about 😎.

How do I ask a followup question?

❓ 🤔 To ask a followup question:

1. ✅ Simplify the document which you would like to ask a question about
2. ✅ Once the summary is complete, enter the question in the text input box
3. ✅ Hit enter
4. ✅ Voilà. You've just asked a followup question

How can I simplify multiple documents at once?

🏫 To simplify multiple tabs at once, click on the ▶️ Add Tab button at the bottom of the screen, and input another link 😀😀😀.

How do I change the length of the summary? How about the tone and complexity?

Click on the ⚙️ gear in the top right corner of the screen (on the main page, not this one), and select you 📕 language setting as well as summary . Here are your possible options:

Language Setting (applies to both summary and followup questions)

• █░░░ Elementary school level (basic words, short explanations)
• ██░░ Middle school level (longer words, default setting)
• ███░ High school level (higher level topics, may include sources for additional research)
• ████ Adult level (semi-professional language)
• Monkey level (🐒🐒🍌)

Length Setting (applies only to followup questions)

• Normal (Normal length answers, for a 1-3 minute read)
• Short (Quick answers, 10-20 second read)

I think I've found a bug! What do I do?

🎉 🐛Congrats on finding a bug. However, before you report it,

• Make sure that it's actually a 🐛 bug. Third party browser extensions, especially those that interfere with LocalStorage and SessionStorage have been known to cause issues. ❌
• If it isn't a third party extension causing the issue, nor your browser/system 🖥️, open a new issue in the TosAutomation GitHub 🐈 (link found in header), or DM me on Slack 💌, if you're from Hack Club (my name is Muyao Lu on Slack)
• Remember, the more details you include, the better. 🖼️📕 Logs, images, and a description on how you got the error would all be appreciated :)
